Today is Mother’s Day here in the US. Today I have been reflecting on how lucky I am to be a Mummy and how grateful I am to both my own Mummy and my Little Man for showing me how. Here is my letter to my Mummy and my Little Man…
To my Mummy and my Little Man,
It’s a fun old thing, life. How things go around and come around. I have always known I am lucky to have such a wonderful mummy. A mummy who loves me every day, whatever I do. A mummy who stands by me and supports me, but lets me take my own path. A mummy who, without me even realising, has taught me how to be a mummy too.
Mum, since Little Man came into my life, I have a new found appreciation of all the things you did for me as a child. How you looked after me, loved me, always put my needs before yours. How you filled me up with your love – both then, now and forever. I will always be grateful to you for helping me be the best mummy I can be, by being the best mummy to me – a mummy full of love.
Little Man, I am so grateful to you for making me a mummy. I never knew I could feel the love I feel for you, until you came along. Each and every day I love you more and more until I think I could burst. You inspire me every day. You make me want to be the best mummy I can be – a mummy full of love.
Thank you Mummy and thank you Little Man.

P.S. I couldn’t resist one of my favourite photos – My Mummy and my Little Man together – I am so grateful to you both for teaching me how to be a mummy and making me always strive to be the best mummy ever.
Happy Mother’s Day to ALL the Mamas out there!
